Lloyds Banking Group to open Hyderabad technology center 2023

Lloyds Banking Group, one of the UK’s major financial services companies, invested in a new technology center in Hyderabad’s Knowledge City region on Wednesday.

The Group, which operates the UK’s largest digital bank and has over 20 million digitally engaged consumers, expects to enhance its digital competence with the new technology facility later this year.

Lloyds Banking Group’s £3 billion strategic investment over three years to modernize its digital offering includes Lloyds Technology Centre. It will hire 600 technology, data, and cyber security professionals to improve the Group’s customer experience and technical competence.

Due to its great tech talent and the government’s dedication to world-class facilities and a business-friendly environment, Telangana is a favoured worldwide destination for IT/ITES exports.

Hyderabad will host Lloyds Banking Group’s new technology center.

“We express our gratitude and extend a warm welcome to Lloyds Banking Group for selecting Hyderabad, Telangana to build their tech and data talent, and their commitment to India,” said IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao.

“Our investment in the new technology centre in Hyderabad reflects India’s rise as a technology innovation powerhouse, which we hope to use to meet customers’ changing needs and support our long-term growth strategy,” said Lloyds Banking Group group chief operating officer Ron van Kemenade.

We’re also excited to change our business using technology. Hyderabad, with its skilled engineers and outstanding technological environment, will have many chances as we expand our footprint and create more employment. We seek employees that want to learn, create for our consumers, and support our sustainable growth.”

Lloyds Technology Centre will not provide banking services but will use technology, digital, data, and analytics to drive innovation and end-to-end product delivery, improving the Group’s worldwide resourcing strategy.

The Group’s dedication to diversity and India’s economic growth will aid the government’s digital mission in the area. The business stated leadership team and broader recruiting are continuing ahead of the technology center’s debut later this year.
