IMMO inaugurates the Technology Hub in Chennai 2023

IMMO, the proptech platform disrupting housing sales, rentals, and investments, opened a Technology Hub in Chennai, India.

London-based IMMO provides institutional investors with granular residential real estate and a fully integrated tech platform for market intelligence, real estate sourcing, lettings, and property management, which are traditionally managed by a variety of providers or manually.

IMMO built its first Technology Hub at Tek Meadows IT Park on Old Mahabalipuram Road in Chennai. The Technology Hub will accelerate IMMO’s exclusive technology platform development, helping it grow internationally.

Last year’s Technology Hub features 50 business intelligence, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence engineers, product, and support workers.

Shanmugam (Shan) Nagappan, a technology industry veteran, is IMMO’s India Managing Director, responsible for building the Technology Hub and expanding operations.

Shan was COO at Replicon India, Country Leader for OEC, and Managing Director (India) at Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions, where he established and grew technology and global operations centers in numerous Indian locations before joining IMMO.

Our expansion plan relies on the Chennai Technology Hub. Technology has been used in certain segments of the real estate value chain, from investors to builders to consumers.

“IMMO is uniquely positioned to create meaningful change and disruption in every part of an otherwise stale and fragmented industry,” stated Hans-Christian (Gigi) Zappel, Founder & CEO.

The Technology Hub in Chennai will complement our internationally scattered staff in the UK, Germany, and Spain and accelerate our expansion. “It’s exciting to build on our product and platform development capabilities to serve our investors, residents, and sellers around the world,” said IMMO CTO Hima Mandali.

I’m excited to join IMMO now. “We are hiring full-stack engineers, product managers, DevOps experts, data engineers, and agile coaches to grow our technology hub in Chennai,” Shan said.
