BelTA has learned that President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov and President of the Kurchatov Institute Mikhail Kovalchuk spoke with journalists about the future of science.
“The Academy of Sciences combines together nearly all fields of science and technology, and it is now crucial to foster interdisciplinarity.
Numerous accomplishments exist in the field of interdisciplinary sciences. Also promising is the use of neural networks, according to Gennady Krasnikov.
Scientists in Russia expect a new technology paradigm.
Mikhail Kovalchuk, for his part, stated that interdisciplinarity is becoming the most crucial foundation for the transition to a new technological paradigm based on nature-like technologies.
“Neural networks are currently very fashionable. However, we must recognize that energy supply is crucial for digitalization,” he said.
The Presidiums of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Russian Academy of Sciences are holding a combined meeting in Minsk. Participants will contemplate a variety of crucial issues.
