Al Ittihad National Private School (INPS) in Abu Dhabi has partnered with MDS Apple Practice, an Apple-authorized education expert in the UAE, to transform student and teacher learning.
As an Apple Distinguished School, Al Ittihad National Private School uses Apple technology to prepare students for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
iPads help INPS link students and instructors to digital textbooks, enrichment programs, and experts. Keynote helps students collaborate and build on one other’s ideas.
The cooperation helps narrow the gender learning gap in most schools.
Ghazwa Mohammed, INPS vice principal, remarked that underachievement among males is a global issue. The gender difference was considerable at our school too. Our action study shows that deeper learning experiences have improved our boys’ success. iPad, our technology partners, and our instructors contributed to this.”
“Our school and our strong Emirati culture empowers us to focus on preserving the UAE National heritage and promoting the students’ national identity,” stated INPS instructional technology manager Hanan Hassan.
It was crucial to create a clear technological vision that encouraged and enabled everyone—parents, leadership, teachers, and students—to participate in this shift. “Kellina Negdar”—Emirati for “We all can”—is our technological vision that inspires community ownership and accountability.”
“As an Apple Education Specialist partner, we understand that this journey starts with the teachers,” said MDS Computers Apple practice lead George El Habel. Our multi-layered professional development helps instructors keep up with changing methodology, instructional design, and technology. Professional development is essential to enhance instruction.”
INPS may leverage Apple technology and apps for learning and prepare students for the future with the new iPads. INPS is preparing a generation to confidently face the Fourth Industrial Revolution with this relationship.
